Sacha Baron Cohen has revealed he won't make another character-driven movie. The reclusive Borat star says he's become too well-known to get away with it.
And he admits that pretending to be the offensive Kazakhstani reporter for weeks on end left him exhausted.
In a rare interview out of character, the English-born comedian told US radio that his next project would have to be something completely different.
He said: "I think it will probably be impossible.
"There are a number of things that are in development.
"The [next thing]...

very very niiiiiice for Borat this morning, as the wacky Kazakh reporter (aka Sacha Baron Cohen) took in a stunning $26.4 million over the weekend after opening in only 837 theaters across the country, averaging $31,511 per theater. By contrast, the second-place finisher, Tim Allen's "The Santa Clause 3," raked in $20 million, though it opened on 3,458 cinemas, for an average of $5,784 per theater. "Borat's" huge success – as evidenced in Manhattan, for instance, by long lines even for Sunday's late show – calls into some question the...

Borat stunned observers by opening at No. 1 at the North American box office on Sunday with ticket sales of $26.4 million.
The North American release took place in just 837 theaters after polling indicated that huge enthusiasm among critics and the MySpace crowd had not spread to mainstream moviegoers. In the end, it appeared that naked wrestling, toilet jokes and anti-Semitic satire hold universal appeal.

Borat's wife is dead -- and he couldn't be happier.
The Kazakhstani journalist, played by comedian Sacha Baron Cohen, was on "The Late Show with David Letterman" last night raving about his long-awaited return to the single scene while bashing his deceased spouse.
Borat claims he's already on the hunt for someone to fill her shoes. His type: "I like yellow hairs, little plow experience and preference little or no history of retardation."

"Bruno," English comedian Sacha Baron Cohen's follow-up to next week's release "Borat," triggered an intense bidding war in Hollywood on Thursday.
By early evening, sources said leading contender Universal Pictures had offered more than $42 million for worldwide rights to the film.
As in the case of "Borat," Jay Roach would produce with Baron Cohen. No director is on board, though it has been reported that Baron Cohen wants to shoot the movie in the summer.
In "Bruno," he will call upon another of his alter egos, a gay fashionista...

Have you ever wondered how Borat hoaxed America?
Most of Borat's victims were ensnared in a similar way. They would be contacted by a woman calling herself Chelsea Barnard from a fictional film company, One America Productions.
They would be told about the foreign correspondent making a film about life in the US, with the pitch tailored to each person's specialist subject.
Then on the day of the interview, they would be presented with a release form at the last minute, be paid in cash and, finally, Borat would amble in, beginning with...
