Depp plays a barber who kills people while Helena Bonham Carter makes meat pies out of them. The tram happens in England, and shows how the barber Benjamin Barker - after being unjustly banished from London and watched his wife and daughter fall in disgrace - returns using the pseudonym of Sweeney Todd to consume his revenge. At his side is the baker Mrs. Lovett, and together they make an evil plan: the chair of the barber kills his clients, while Mrs. Lovett uses the mortal remains to bake pies that become the sensation of London.

Johnny Depp is making a film about a former Russian spy whose poisoning death in London has touched off an international mystery, the trade magazine Variety reported.
Warner Bros. has bought the rights to a book about Alexander Litvinenko for Depp's production company, Infinitum Nihil, the magazine reported Friday. Depp will produce the film and could star in it, the report said.
Warner Bros. is racing against director Michael Mann and Colombia Pictures, which has agreed to pay $1.5 million for the rights to another book being co-written...

A source told Daily Star, that “the script for the fourth film is currently being written, and Disney bean counters are already examining ways to cut its massive costs.”
“[Disney] has concluded that although both Johnny Depp and Keira Knightley are essential to the continued success of the series, Orlando’s character is human NyQuil and ‘not necessary.’”
The source did not specify whether Orlando’s character will be killed off in the third installment, or early on in the fourth.

'Pirates of the Caribbean' star Mackenzie Crook has revealed the all-star cast and crew had to remember to put on underwear everyday - to stop their genitals from being sunburned.
The British actor - who plays pirate Ragetti in the swashbuckling sequel 'Dead Man's Chest' - has revealed some of the crew were left with scorched private parts after deciding to go "commando" under their shorts to keep cool.

verall - fun movie! - pretty much what I expected.
this movie is more like the ride than the first one was - especially the scene on Tortuga island. cool scene!
the movie was more a bunch of action sequences strung together - very weak plot. some things didn't make much sense or didn't have to make much sense. for example they seemed to be able to sail to any number of places in the caribbean instantaneously.
voodoo west indies woman was cool - liked her - almost needed subtitles for her at times.
